Recently, ferrosilicon futures have fallen sharply. Most low-barium manufacturers’ quotations are temporarily stable, and there is no sign of decline. As the trend of ferrosiliconhas not stabilized, silicon-barium inoculant processors are still watching the market, operating very cautiously.

At present, the mainstream transaction price of low barium 4~6% is 7300-7500RMB/T in natural size in Qinghai, 7300-7500RMB/T EXW price in Gansu, It quota 8200-8500RMB/T in Henan and 8500-9000RMB/T EXW price in North China.

It is reported that a manufacturer in Gansu opened a new 12,500KVA submerged arc furnace in recent months with a monthly output of about 1,000 tons. With the increase in market production capacity, the supply and demand of low barium eased slightly, however, the current raw material market quota is uncertain, and buyers and sellers have a strong wait-and-see mood, it will need to pay attention to actual transactions and raw material price trends.

After the manufacturers in Inner Mongolia stopped the furnace one after another, the output of the silicon barium market decreased, and the situation of high barium delivery improved, but the manufacturer’s quotation did not increase. Now low barium market transactions are optimistic, some manufacturers have resumed production, and market output has increased accordingly. Manufacturers in major producing areas have indicated that there is no inventory backlog, and the production and sales situation is improving. Due to the high vibration of ferrosilicon and the tight supply of low barium, the market quotations were chaotic, but actual traction prices were relatively consistent. In terms of the overall trend of silicon barium alloys, low barium will remain high in the short term, some high barium alloy manufacturers are eager for the market outlook, but it is still difficult to boost actual prices.
