Silicon Calcium Alloy

The method often used by silica and calcium alloy manufacturers to produce silicon-calcium alloys is a one-step process, and how the one-step process is fed is not particularly well known to operators. Only by improving the understanding of the various ferroalloy processes for the production of silicon-calcium alloys and understanding the important points can we achieve the purpose of using materials without wasting and effectively producing high-quality silicon-calcium alloys. It is also very important to use calcium silicon-alloy in smelting this link. Understanding the method of adding silicon calcium alloy can effectively improve the quality of products!

Calcium silicate alloy

The domestic production of calcium silicate alloy can be divided into two ways: one is mixed feeding and the other is stratified feeding. So what is mixed feeding and what is split feeding?

mixed charging method for silicon-calcium alloy

The operation of mixing feeding method is similar to that of producing 75% ferrosilicon by small electric furnace, but the silicon-calcium alloy charging is not all mixed into the furnace, but part of it is in the form of partial feeding. A quarter of a third of the silica is added to the electrode after the collapse, the block is added separately, and the rest is mixed with lime, coke, and bituminous coal and added to the furnace.

The operation procedure of the mixed feeding method is to plug the hole of the furnace after the iron is produced, and the material surface appears the first big collapse, and then the furnace compacts the silica, pushes the hot material near the electrode, flattens, adds the wood block near the electrode, presses down, and then adds the mixture. The surface should be piled into a cone with a height of about 200 mm, sprinkled with a mixture of coke and bituminous coal, braised and burned. When the surface becomes thinner, gently add some new materials to prolong the stew time. When the material surface is mostly thinned, the second collapse occurs. After the material collapses, the slag is added to the electrode, the surface of the material is leveled, and the mixture is added to form a cone for braising.

When it is found that the surface of the material becomes thinner, the new material is lightly covered, and when the material surface is mostly thinned, the third big collapse occurs. The operation after the collapse is exactly the same as the operation after the first big collapse, which is also a ramming furnace and adding a block of wood. Press the back cover mixture to braised and burn until ironclad.

Silicon-calcium alloy stratified feeding method

After mixing lime with the corresponding amount of coke (as required to produce low grade calcium carbide), the stratified charging mage will add it to the furnace. After it has been cleared, the silica and the remaining reducing agent will be mixed and then added again!
