Barium Silicon can be used as deoxidizer and desulfurizer in steelmaking production. When it's used in gray cast iron and spheroidal graphite cast iron, it promotes the formation of A-shaped graphite and the completion of graphite nodules. BaSi Alloy, including Barium Calcium Silicon and Silicon Aluminum Barium Calcium are a range of composite alloys basically composed of silicon, calcium, and iron. They are the ideal composite deoxidizers and desulfurizers for production of high-quality steel, mild steel, stainless steel, nickel alloy, titanium alloy and another special alloy. Suit well in temperature improver of converter steel smelting.

The Features and Processing of Barium Silicon
Barium silicon is also called barium silicon inoculant which is a long-term graphitization. Compared with graphitization ability of ferro silicon, it can improve the different thickness of the section structure and hardness uniformity as well as increase the number of eutectic group and recession speed is slow. Increasing the same quantity, barium silicon inoculation can improve tensile strength higher 20-30N/mm2 than ferro silicon. Compare to ferro silicon, when additive amount changes, the casting hardness range is small. After the Spheroidizing treatment of molten iron adds barium silicon which can not only increase the number of graphite ball and improve the roundness but also eliminate cementite and scatter or reduce phosphorus eutectic.

Barium silicon is widely used in various grades grey iron casting and ductile casting especially the large thick wall parts and small wall quenching parts together with the pouring time and transportation distance of the workshop.
