1.Mn: Manganese is a weaker deoxidizer, which is one of the commonly used deoxidizers.

2.Si: Silicon is a strong deoxidizer, one of the commonly used deoxidizers, and its deoxidation product SiO2 is a highly melting solid mass point, which can be wetted by the steel liquid and is discharged. When silicon-desorrable use in induction furnace, the reduction in oxygen is faster, and the silicon is added 5 to 10 minutes, and the oxygen content can be reduced to the lowest value. The velocity of silicon deoxidation in the bag is basically the same as the furnace.

3.Al: Aluminum is the most commonly used strong deoxidizer, when the induction furnace is  melted, aluminum is added to 0.1%, only 3 to 4 minutes after aluminum deoxidation, and the dissolved oxygen in the steel is reduced to 0.01% or less. When deoxidizing oxygen in the ladle, the aluminum is added before the steel, the steel liquid can be reduced to 0.02% or less within 2 to 3 minutes after the steel. After the steel is reduced due to the decrease in the temperature of the steel, the deoxidation capacity of aluminum is improved so that the steel liquid is still slowly decreased when the steel liquid is calm.

4.Ca: Calcium is a strong deoxidizer, also a strong desulfurizer, however, due to the gasification of calcium, its deoxidation effect is significantly reduce. In order to overcome this disadvantages, it is necessary to reduce the vapor pressure, silicon and aluminum can not only reduce the vapor pressure of calcium, but also can increase the solubility of calcium. So the calcium silicon is generally used as deoxidizer, it can also improve the form of inclusions into spherical shape, and thus improve steel performance.

5.RE: Using RE deoxidation own the characteristics as following:

(1)The deoxidation reaction is accompanied by a desulfurization reaction. RE can react at the same time with O,S generate RE oxides, RE sulfides while reducing oxygen and sulfur in steel.

(2)RE oxide and RE sulfides in high melting point, large density, small quality, not easy to discharge, retention in steel.

(3)The outstanding advantage of RE is to make the inclusions in the steel spheroidizing, then improve the performance of steel.
