ferrosilicon particles inoculant

Ferrosilicon particle inoculant (special inoculant for casting)

Ferrosilicon particles are abbreviated as silicon particles, that is, ferrosilicon particle inoculant, an inoculant used in steelmaking, ironmaking and casting. At present, Huatuo Metallurgy's ferrosilicon particles have the following specifications: 0.2-0.8mm, 1-3mm, 3-8mm, 8-15mm

Features of ferrosilicon particle inoculant:

(1) The composition of ferrosilicon particles is uniform and the segregation is small;

(2) Ferrosilicon has uniform particle size, no fine powder, and stable inoculation effect;

(3) The inoculation effect of ferrosilicon particles is stronger than that of ordinary ferrosilicon, and the tendency to produce slag is also small;

(4) Extend mold life and reduce surface defects;

(5) Reduce pinholes, improve the surface quality of cast pipes, and increase the pass rate of one-time inspection;

(6) Eliminate microscopic shrinkage and improve the processing performance of castings.

The role of ferrosilicon particle inoculant:

(1) Used as a deoxidizer and alloying agent in the steelmaking industry.

(2) Used as an inoculant and spheroidizing agent in the cast iron industry. Cast iron is an important metal material in modern industry. It is cheaper than steel, easy to melt and smelt, has excellent casting performance and much better seismic resistance than steel. Especially for ductile iron, its mechanical properties reach or approach that of steel. Adding a certain amount of ferrosilicon to cast iron can prevent the formation of carbides in iron and promote the precipitation and spheroidization of graphite. Therefore, in the production of nodular cast iron, ferrosilicon is an important inoculant (helping to precipitate graphite) and nodulizer .
