Recarburizer, as the essential auxiliary additive for the high quality steel, now is widely used in many industries and is very poplar among the world first level Mill. According to the application and original material, there are various type of recarburizer. In this message, as the real factory, with more than 30 years’ experiences, we would like to share some of our views for the recarburizer.

The Recarburizer can be divided into three main category. They are Recarburizer for steel making, Recarburizer for cast iron making and other material Recarburizer. In addition, according to the original material, the recarburizer could also can be classify as metallurgical coke recarburizer, calcined coal, Petroleum coke recarburizer, natural graphite recarburizer, composite material recarburizer. The calcined coal recarburizer is made of the calcined coal after purification treatment, the appearance is rounded grain at most. Its characteristic is high carbon content, low sulfur and low ash, it can be used in the metallurgy, chemical, machinery and electricity industry, and it is the ideal application using as the carbon additive and reaction intermediate.

The essential difference between the graphite recarburizer and the coal made recarburizer:

#01 The original material is totally different.

Natural Graphite recarburizer is made of natural crystalline flake graphite which is filtrated and processed. While the coal made recarburizer is manufactured with Calcination of anthracite.

#02 The Characteristic is different

The graphite recarburizer has the features that low sulfur, low nitrogen, low phosphorus, high temperature resistance, good electrical conductivity, which the coal made recarburizer do not have.

#03 The Carbon absorptivity rate is different

The absorptivity of graphite recarburizer is at least 90%, that is the reason why the low carbon content (75%) graphite recarburizer could still meet the requirement to some extent. On the contrary, the absorptivity of coal is much less the graphite recarburizer.

#04 The price differs a lot

The graphite recarburizer is higher than the coal recarburizer, but the combines use costs are much lower. The Coal Recarburizer price is lower than the graphite recarburizer, but in the future further processing treatment, its cost are much higher than the graphite recarburizer. So, if counting all the cost, the graphite made recarburizer would be a better choice.
